Urban Animal Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, Fear Free veterinary hospital located at 1327 Yale Street in the Houston Heights community of Houston, Texas. Opened on April 1, 2017 by Dr. Hilary Granson DVM, the hospital was built from the ground up to celebrate the uniqueness and dignity of every individual animal and pet owner. Dr. Granson is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include internal medicine, anesthesia, pain management, emergency medicine, and immunology. She also has experience treating avian and exotic patients. She has been published in veterinary and human medical peer-reviewed journals and writes for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time she enjoys motorcycle riding, target shooting, finding good restaurants, and attending concerts. The hospital features separate cat and dog entrances, exam rooms, and treatment spaces with species-specific pheromones to reduce anxiety. The clinic is fully ADA-compliant (hallways, washroom, waiting area, exam rooms, and parking). Services include: cardiology, dental care, dermatology, internal medicine, radiology (digital x-ray & ultrasound), surgical procedures, wellness & prevention, pain management, oncology, emergency & urgent care, vaccinations, lab work, microchipping, and spay/neuter.
