Denton County Animal ER (DCAER) is a privately owned, fully equipped, state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and critical care veterinary hospital located at 4145 South Interstate 35 E, Suite 101, Denton, TX 76210. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Stephanie Polley, DVM, DCAER was established to serve the growing emergency veterinary needs of the Denton County area and surrounding communities. The hospital is exclusively an emergency and critical care facility — not a primary care clinic — and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including all holidays. DCAER is a private, non-government, non-subsidized institution. The hospital is fully equipped with: two trauma rooms (one housing digital radiography), an extensive in-house laboratory (hematology, serum chemistry, blood gases, serology, urinalysis, parasite testing, ocular tonometry, blood pressure, ECG), ultrasound with access to Board Certified radiology consultants, endoscopy (for foreign body removal), multiple Snyder ICU and neonatal ICU units, high-flow oxygen therapy (HFOT), ventilator support, hemoperfusion for toxic exposures, two private visitation rooms, two quiet hospitalization wards, a low recovery area for large and giant breeds, isolation rooms for infectious patients, and a back-up generator. Services include: Emergency Trauma Care, Toxicology & Toxic Exposure (hemoperfusion available), Diagnostics, Digital Radiology, Ultrasound Imaging, Emergency Surgery, Intensive & Critical Care, Infectious Disease Care, Transfusion Medicine (plasma, albumin, cryoprecipitate, whole blood, RBCs), End of Life & Palliative Care, and Neonatal ICU Care.
