Farrell Animal Hospital is a full-service, independently owned veterinary hospital located at 2890 W Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013, serving Arlington and the surrounding communities since 1947. Founded by Dr. J.M. Farrell, who began treating patients in his home in the 1940s after graduating from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1944. In 1949, Dr. J.M. Farrell and his brother Dr. Don Farrell formally founded the hospital on West Division Street; in 1972, the practice moved to its current Pioneer Parkway location. Dr. James Turner began working at Farrell Animal Hospital in 1980 as an assistant, returned as an associate veterinarian upon graduating from vet school in 1988, and purchased the hospital from Dr. J.M. Farrell in 1990. Current veterinary team includes Dr. James Turner DVM (Owner), Dr. Ashlie Gittings DVM, Dr. Whitney Anne Butler DVM, Dr. Lyndsay Erichsen DVM, Dr. Taylor Hood DVM, and Dr. Asia Rubin DVM. Hospital Manager is Yvonne Smith. The hospital is AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited and a proud member of the Independent Veterinary Practitioners Association (IVPA). Services include: wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, surgical procedures (including spays/neuters), urgent care, professional grooming, dentistry (with digital dental X-rays), boarding, digital radiography, ultrasound, vaccinations, and small animal and pocket pet specialization. Walk-ins accepted. No appointment needed. Online pharmacy available. Pet portal available. Payment via CareCredit accepted. New client referral program offered.
