Dundee Animal Hospital was established in 1958 by Dr. David McConnell in East Dundee, Illinois, and has built over 60 years of veterinary legacy, celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018. In 1999, the practice remodeled and expanded into a 15,000 sq. ft. facility housing both a general practice and a 24/7 emergency center. The hospital has held AAHA accreditation continuously since 1975, a distinction held by only about 15% of animal hospitals in North America, meeting over 900 stringent standards across surgery, emergency services and general care. The team includes Fear Free Certified staff and treats dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets and exotic animals. Dundee Animal Hospital is part of a three-location group alongside sister practices in Elgin and Algonquin, IL, allowing shared patient records and collaboration among veterinarians including Dr. Knott, Dr. Kersting and Dr. Khorsand. Only the Dundee location provides round-the-clock emergency veterinary care, 365 days a year.
